THE HOTHAM

The latest member of our family The Hotham, a Mid Century Modern credenza was nominated in the 2015 Australian Furnishing Industry Awards, and won The Green Award, for designing and manufacturing products that have green credentials.  These credentials include: the manufacturing process, waste management, materials used, recycling and education.

The Hotham is constructed from solid Blackwood with Birch plywood drawers and is truly a bespoke piece, as all components (apart from the BLUM hardware) have been been designed, constructed and polished by Christopher Scott himself.

Handcrafted in our studio in Gippsland, this credenza was inspired by the latest high end designs of 1960's Australian designers such as Parker and Krimper.

Bringing luxury into your home, The Hotham showcases the the highest quality in hardware, construction and finish, while also celebrating our passion - Australian made furniture.

The centre compartment has been designed to accept A/V equipment with cable ports and venting integrated. Utilising the best BLUM hardware available, the touch open movento runners, and the soft close hinges are effortless. Finished with eco-friendly Osmo polix satin oil/wax, this piece is testament to Christopher's 17 years of experience.

Whiskey Cabinets

With his love of the wild grained timbers, teamed with all the facets of Whiskey, it was only time that Christopher combined his two passions together.

"The Vault" Whiskey Cabinet has been designed and constructed by Christopher, utilising Huon Pine salvaged by Hydrowood from Lake Pieman. Huon Pine trees are some of the oldest and rarest in the world, and grow exclusively in Tasmania.  Taking around 500 years to mature, it is incredible to note that this timber starting growing before Australia had been discovered and before the world's oldest Whiskey distillery Old Bushmills had been established in 1608.

Christopher utilised the stunning Tasmanian Blackwood from Hydrowood, that has spent the last 25 years under Tasmanian waters. The interior is fitted with Tasmanian Kangaroo leather and secured with a Tasmanian Jacksons Lock.
